Deputy President William Ruto has said he will not be distracted by under-the-table political tactics.
The Deputy President was referring to a report released by IPSOS on Wednesday that polled him as the most corrupt leader in Kenya.
“When my competitors are through with (mon-sun) sponsored headlines, paid opinion polls & fake news they are welcome to the real contest based on real mwananchi issues SGR, roads, connecting people to electricity, equipping our hospital & Tivets and matters water. Nawangojea huko,” he said on Twitter.
The DP further termed the poll as “injili ya shetani” adding that critics should refrain from accusing him of corruption just because he was not born into a wealthy family. The tweet below was later deleted.

Ruto further claimed that his rivals “have opted to fake opinion polls” instead of focusing on issue-based politics.
The DP however maintained that he and President Uhuru Kenyatta are focusing on serving Kenyans and ensuring that the government realizes its development plans.
“We are ready for a contest,” DP Ruto said adding that: “But a real contest where turning of the lives of ordinary people matter. This is the kind of competition I would engage in.”
He was speaking during a breakfast meeting at his Karen office in Nairobi where he hosted Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru and 33 members of the County Assembly.
